Frognal is believed to have been built in the early 18th century, making it one of the oldest surviving houses in Hampstead. The residence spans over 4,300 sq ft and features a two-storey gabled porch, a roof terrace, and a beautifully landscaped rear garden.
This is the first time in over 35 years that Frognal has been put on the market. According to the property’s marketing agent, Savills, it is one of the most coveted addresses in Hampstead and is highly sought-after by buyers. Nier Gigi, the head of sales for Savills Hampstead, says that it is a privilege to bring such a special property to the market.
Rectory Farm House sprawls over 8.3 acres of land in North Stoke, and sits on the banks of the River Thames. The property, which was built in the 17th century, was home to Caine and his family for 15 years, between 1984 and 1999.

According to Hugh Maconochie, the director of the country house department at Savills, Caine made several notable improvements to the property during his time there. One of his renovations included a modern extension, known as the Long Room, which features a vaulted living and dining area, a games room, a library, and an indoor swimming pool, spa, and sauna.
The property’s oldest parts also boast a music room, a drawing room, and a sitting room, all featuring charming stone fireplaces and exposed beams. Additionally, there is a library, study, two kitchens, and a gym. The principal bedroom has its own staircase and a private terrace, while a separate staircase leads to the other five bedrooms.
The property also includes a one-bedroom cottage with a kitchen and sitting room, and a lodge that is currently used as staff accommodation. There is also a barn with a thatched roof, which is currently used for car storage but also features a kitchen, bathroom, and office space.
Rectory Farm House is situated less than an hour’s drive from Heathrow Airport and only four miles from Goring and Streatley Station, which provides train services to London Paddington Station. According to Maconochie, the property is the perfect country retreat for those seeking a private estate on the outskirts of a village, away from prying eyes.
