Chencharu Close Gls Site Tender Extended September
The deadline for the tender of a 99-year leasehold mixed-use Government Land Sale (GLS) site along Chencharu Close has been extended to September 11, according to a recent HDB circular. This decision was made in order to give prospective tenderers more time to prepare.
This particular GLS site was first put up for sale in September 2024, making it the first private housing site in Chencharu, a new 70-hectare HDB housing estate within the Yishun HDB Township. Spanning a land area of 316,997 square feet, the site has a gross floor area of over 1.03 million square feet. It is estimated to be able to yield about 875 residential units and up to 135,627 square feet of commercial space.
As per the site’s tender documents, a portion of 58,125 square feet of the commercial space will be allocated for a bus interchange, while an additional 37,674 square feet will be designated for a hawker centre. The GLS site is conveniently located within walking distance from Khatib MRT Station on the North-South Line, and various sports and recreational facilities such as Yishun Stadium, Yishun Sports Centre, and Lower Seletar Reservoir Park are situated nearby.
